What we really shine is small businesses looking for beautifully designed sites and room for e-commerce growth with lower transaction fees.

The Squarespace editor isn’t as intuitive as Wix or Weebly, and it takes a  bit of work to get the hang of it. There are many add-ons, website templates, tools,  universal-style editors and powerful photo editing are useful. Responsive website editors mean that your site always looks great on mobile devices, but you can’t make mobile-specific changes like  Wix or Duda. We also consistently have a high reputation for informative and responsive customer support, which can reassure business owners.

Squarespace offers a $ 23 business website plan that includes unlimited contributors, a Gmail Pro account, and e-commerce shop builder features, starting with a $ 14 / month personal plan that includes unlimited storage, bandwidth, and domains. If you choose the Online Store plan, you can choose between $ 27 and $ 49 per month. The latter includes finishing abandoned carts and gift cards. Weebly’s prices are similar to competitors like Wix or Squarespace, but its free plan option is one of the most generous among free website builders, and for just $6 a month you can get up and running with your own domain name (albeit with Weebly ads). Its $12permonth plan will give you an ad-free site with analytics and commerce capabilities, while the $26 plan gets you more store tools, like tax and shipping calculators, inventory management, and discounts. 

Weebly is a good option for those who may be more limited in terms of their time investment and its commerce options outshine competitors like Wix and Squarespace. For those who are wary of committing to a website builder knowing that you won’t be able to pick up and leave, later on, Weebly also offers the ability to download site files so you can move to another host, a rarity in the site builder landscape.

GoDaddy – Great for simple, no-frills websites 

GoDaddy is best known for custom domain names and web hosting services, so it makes sense to also offer website builder software. The name is a bit of “Website + Marketing”, but it’s a template-based experience similar to the other options on this list, designed to get your basic website up and running in less than an hour.

The Free Tier includes great features such as email and social media marketing, PayPal payments, and  SSL certificates. But overall, GoDaddy’s current website builder is a better improvement than the now obsolete GoCentral product. Similarly, the experience of switching to free tiers no longer has a 30-day timer, so you can take the time to pedal the hoops to see if GoDaddy is right for you. 

WordPress – Great for writers and bloggers
